- The purpose of the role is to lead the business, manage sales & marketing for Construction Chemicals ( CC ) and achieve the gross profit target to support the growth of CC business unit of Brenntag India Subcontinent.
- Build construction chemicals business In India by identifying suppliers, customers, products and applications.
- Work closely with BU Head to develop a 3 ~ 5 year strategy on segment participation & execution
- Handle key accounts for the category, maintain good business relations with them and acquire new customers.
- Achieve the gross profit, inventory turn, AR, CRM/Salesforce targets for the assigned categories.
- Manage the existing suppliers for the related categories.
- Handle cross selling of existing products to new customers and new products to existing customers.
- Do inventory planning in coordination with supplier champions for the supplier specific products after understanding the lead time.
- Manage the finance related processes, documentation & payment terms with the customers of assigned categories.
- Responsible for supplier roadshows to the customers and displaying the existing & new products prototypes.
- Ensure timely resolution of customers' issues/queries in order to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Attend meetings with the suppliers & the customers on a weekly/monthly basis to understand their concerns, expectations and any changes in their protocols/ systems.
- Attend suppliers' training of their specific products & utilize it for business goal deliveries.
- Plan the inventory for the category supplier-wise & product-wise after consultation with the inventory manager and the suppliers. In case of new wins, plan for additional inventories.
- Do price negotiation with the suppliers for monthly / quarterly basis or depending on the customer's request or volume of the ordered products.
- Suggest the credit period for the customers to the financial controller. Coordinate for the related documentation from the customers.
- Post-Graduate in Chemistry/ B.Tech/Chemical / Civil Engineering from reputed institute
- MBA/PGDBM in marketing from a reputed college/university.
- Minimum 10-12+ years of experience in the sales or marketing function of raw material / additives for Construction Chemicals
- Strong client management and team management experience is required.
- Sound knowledge of Construction Chemicals industry and the related products
- Identification of scope of products application
- Knowledge of marketing concepts
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds.
