The role will include a close dialogue with the Finance team, where you will work as a team of 7 ensuring frequent feedback and knowledge sharing, but a lot of responsibility will be delegated leaving you with a high degree of independence.
We create the framework for a good learning environment, and you help to fill them.How you might spend your daysAs a Senior Accountant (Accounts Payable), you'll be working with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team where your daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice verification, coding, approval workflows, and payment processing.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of AP transactions, including proper documentation and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Monitor and ensure compliance with GST regulations, including timely filing of returns and remittance of taxes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement and finance teams, to streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.
Prepare accurate and timely reports on AP and GST-related metrics for management review.
Stay updated on changes in GST laws and regulations and provide guidance to the team as needed.
Manage Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns.
Continuously evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and automation.
Implement best practices to streamline accounts payable processes and minimize errors.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize resource utilization.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, journal entries, and financial analysis.To apply for the position there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to succeed in this role:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience within accounting area
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with expertise in accounts payable, experience handing GST and TDS compliance is a must.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements, particularly in GST and TDS.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
