associated with price. ... Implementation of strategies for global purchase of materials. Sourcing
of materials ensures optimum utilization of materials, maximum cost
savings & meeting anticipatory orders.
 Planning and monitoring the shipment of cargo and discharge at port.
 Monitoring the dispatch of feedstock from port to plant.
 Sourcing products and raw materials at quality and cost standards
consistent with company business objectives.
 Proficient in implementing cost saving measures through process
improvements, procurement, costs reductions.
 Development of potential vendors / suppliers for achieving cost effective
purchases of materials; reduction in prices and timely delivery.
 Planning the reorder level and safety stock at supplier's end. Monitoring
of the stock and supervise issuance of the orders on time keeping in the
mind the lead time and transit time, timely deliveries, release schedules,
quality checks and payments.
 Hands on experience in overseeing overall functions of materials
management entailing vendor development, sourcing, procurement,
etc.
